Hi, my name is Kai Rivera, and I am the Project & Implementation Specialist at Purview.
Over the past month we have shared with you the free of charge services and products Purview is offering to help during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our goal is electronic Access, Collaboration and Sharing of medical records wherever necessary for any person or organization who may need it.
Now, we want to again highlight a few organizations who have taken us up on this offer, in order to continue to provide care to their communities:
In Israel, the physical practice of Dr. Israel E. Priel MD FCCP had nearly closed down completely during the pandemic, as his pulmonary patients were by and large reluctant to come into the clinic unless absolutely necessary.
He then started using Purview Image to provide healthcare to his patients without having them come to the office. His patients don't have to leave their homes to physically bring their medical records in because they can now easily and securely upload their medical images stored on CDs by using the URL uploader. This URL is a link to a web-based DICOM uploader that directly connects to the office cloud system. Using Purview is important because remote uploading helps to mitigate the spread of the virus by eliminating the need for physical CDs and direct contact for image sharing.
“I very much enjoy this unique opportunity that came at the right time. The ability to upload imaging without leaving ones house is just great. I have made several TeleConsultations using video and have seen uploaded imaging (CXR, CT and PET CT). The option to view chest imaging remotely is just great and I believe will stay in practice long after the Coronavirus crisis. I have still a lot to learn using the program but the essential part is highly satisfactory. I can see the imaging just as easily as if it was brought to my clinic and uploaded to my PC. I am profoundly grateful to Purview and for the superb support they provide."

For Abanimal Imagenes Diagnosticas in Columbia, Dr. Daniel Navarrete also shared his experience in working remotely with Purview Image. As an animal hospital in Bogota, Colombia, they can now remotely view CR X-Rays and CT scans of the animals and provide diagnostic reports by utilizing Purview Image tools and functionalities. Not only does the system directly connect to their modalities to send scans to the cloud, but it also easily collect images from other sources by using Purview web uploader. After that, scans and images are stored on the cloud, and remote radiologists can then log into Purview and view those images any time or place that works best for them.
"During this COVID-19 emergency, we have been able to remain at the forefront of veterinary diagnostic imaging in Colombia, with the valuable help of Purview that has allowed us to continue making quality diagnoses while taking care of ourselves at home.”

Purview is committed to supporting those on the front lines by offering these Telehealth services and solutions free of charge.
If you, or an organization you know, may be wondering what services could help them stay afloat and provide their patients essential care during coronavirus, please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can help figure out whether any of our services can help.
The first service we created is free of charge Electronic Medical Image Sharing.
This service aims to minimize direct contact between patients and physicians and reduce the burden on already overwhelmed healthcare systems by sharing medical images electronically.
This may be used by patients to share studies with physicians, by physicians to share studies with patients, or even with physicians sharing studies with other physicians.
We are now also offering providers a solution to enable them to avoid burning CDs for patients.
Hospitals and imaging centers can use Patient Access to share images with patients without in-person visits, eliminating the need to burn and deliver CDs to patients. Patients can instead access images on a mobile phone app.
Finally, we are offering our core product, Purview Image, a Cloud-Based Remote Diagnosis Solution.
This product enables radiologists and sub-specialists to remotely perform medical imaging reads on images that are sent directly from their modalities to the cloud, share studies and create and share reports.
