In Israel, the physical practice of Dr. Israel E. Priel MD FCCP had nearly closed down completely during the pandemic, as his pulmonary patients were by and large reluctant to come into the clinic unless absolutely necessary.

He then started using Purview Image to provide healthcare to his patients without having them come to the office. His patients don't have to leave their homes to physically bring their medical records in because they can now easily and securely upload their medical images stored on CDs by using the URL uploader. This URL is a link to a web-based DICOM uploader that directly connects to the office cloud system. Using Purview is important because remote uploading helps to mitigate the spread of the virus by eliminating the need for physical CDs and direct contact for image sharing.

For Abanimal Imagenes Diagnosticas in Columbia, Dr. Daniel Navarrete also shared his experience in working remotely with Purview Image. As an animal hospital in Bogota, Colombia, they can now remotely view CR X-Rays and CT scans of the animals and provide diagnostic reports by utilizing Purview Image tools and functionalities. Not only does the system directly connect to their modalities to send scans to the cloud, but it also easily collect images from other sources by using Purview web uploader. After that, scans and images are stored on the cloud, and remote radiologists can then log into Purview and view those images any time or place that works best for them.

This service aims to minimize direct contact between patients and physicians and reduce the burden on already overwhelmed healthcare systems by sharing medical images electronically.

This may be used by patients to share studies with physicians, by physicians to share studies with patients, or even with physicians sharing studies with other physicians.

Hospitals and imaging centers can use Patient Access to share images with patients without in-person visits, eliminating the need to burn and deliver CDs to patients. Patients can instead access images on a mobile phone app.
