Reflections from the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants 2026 Annual Conference in Orlando
I recently had the opportunity to attend and present at the annual AALNC conference in Orlando, and it proved to be an experience well worth the trip.
With approximately 225 attendees, the conference struck a great balance: large enough to feel energetic and diverse, yet intimate enough to foster meaningful conversations and real connections. The audience was predominantly female, which shaped both the tone and content of several sessions. A handful of presentations leaned heavily into women-focused topics, occasionally edging into territory that felt a bit awkward for the fewer than dozen male attendees in the room; but it was all part of understanding the unique culture and priorities within the Legal Nurse Consultant (LNC) profession.
From a learning standpoint, the conference delivered. I walked away with a much deeper appreciation for the breadth and sophistication of the LNC field. These professionals operate at the intersection of healthcare and law with an impressive level of expertise, and the sessions reflected both the complexity and the real-world impact of their work.
Personally, one of the most valuable aspects of the event was the people. I had the chance to meet a wide range of attendees, many of whom I now consider not just professional contacts, but friends. There’s something about the shared environment of a focused conference that accelerates relationship-building, and this was no exception. It was also rewarding to connect with current and prospective clients in a setting that allowed for more relaxed, in-depth conversations.
I was also grateful for the warm reception from the AALNC team. From the moment I arrived, their organization and hospitality stood out. The networking events, in particular, were exceptionally well done. Many took place poolside, creating a casual, open atmosphere that encouraged genuine interaction, even if the weather didn’t fully cooperate for much of the conference.
As a speaker, I had the opportunity to present on the topic of medical images, which sparked thoughtful discussion and strong engagement. It was clear that this is an area of growing importance within the LNC community, and I appreciated the curiosity and insight the audience brought to the conversation
All in all, this was a highly worthwhile experience—professionally and personally. The combination of learning, connection, and community made it stand out among industry events.
We’ll definitely be back.
