Job Description

Purview is seeking a smart, curious, technically capable, and self-motivated person for the role of Infrastructure and Data Management Specialist. This person should have three or more years of hands-on commercial experience working with Linux environments, command line languages, and SQL databases. Interested in working with big data? We manage hundreds of millions of medical images for patients and physicians globally.

The optimal candidate will have worked in a PACS environment, know DICOM, DCM4CHE and MySQL as well as have experience and knowledge working with Linux, and physical storage, file storage and transfer protocols as well as secure internet communication such as VPNs and SSH tunnels.

Required Qualifications

At a minimum, the successful candidate will have the following knowledge and experience:

· Deep Experience with Linux

· Deep Experience with command line languages (Bash)

· Deep experience working with SQL databases and query language

· Hands on hardware experience with RAID arrays

· Understanding of file storage and transfer protocols

· Currently legally authorized to accept permanent US-based employment

We’d be even more excited if you come from a healthcare IT background and have experience with PACS, DICOM, HL7 or DCM4CHE.

You must be comfortable interacting with medical and IT professionals on the telephone, email, online, and in person. Superb customer service skills are essential.

This position requires you be self-directed and results-oriented.

This full-time position can be either remote or based in our Annapolis, Maryland headquarters. A two or four year degree from an accredited institution in a related field is preferred. Personally motivated, driven and curious individuals only. Fast paced, fun working environment and room for growth/increasing responsibility. Pay will be commensurate with experience and will scale with performance.
