Purview Clients Shape 2016 Initiatives

Purview's west coast trip helps to prioritize 2016 initiatives


We are fortunate to have clients who subscribe to our services all over the world. Unfortunately, we don’t often get to meet them all face-to-face. Last week, however, we did have the opportunity to get together with several of our clients in the Los Angeles area.

Over the course of three days, we met with a half a dozen clients ranging from cancer clinics at major hospitals, family care practices, surgery centers, and more. Each visit was rewarding; we saw Purview solutions helping to improve the outcomes of patients. But perhaps most important was the willingness of our clients to make suggestions and point out issues that will enable us to continue to improve the use and function of our products.

As we go into 2016, visiting with our clients and receiving this feedback is crucial to the improvement of our products. Here are just a few of the initiatives we have on tap for the new year:

  • Removing physical location from patient care delivery - We're looking for new and better ways of receiving and transfering medical imaging studies from anywhere. Distance gets in the way of providing better healthcare and we're dedicated to making it easier for patients and medical professionals to send, transfer, and receive these medical images.

  • Integration of EHR patient records and studies - We have written before on the importance of connecting your EHR with medical images. We received further feedback from our clients that it's essential to have the medical images within the medical record. Purview will continue to develop and deliver EHR integration to achieve this need.

  • Increasing the patient's involvement in their own health care decisions - As technology progresses, what doesn't change is the patient at the center of health care delivery. They are the common demoninator often visiting multiple specialists and general practioners, and there must be ubiquitous, easy-to-use web tools for all patients to share and direct medical images and reports. Purview is dedicated to extending patient access and will continue to develop these capabilities to both care-providers and patients.

Visiting our clients was a great experience and we look forward to doing it again. Purview has had a successful 2015 because of our great clients and the feedback they provide. We look forward to continuing to grow with new technology and innovation enabling us to better serve you.
